I love mine. I couldn't see buying one of those huge and heavy bug out backpacks. There's no room for anything else if you just want to go out on the trail for a day. I just clipped my Safe Trail to my normal hiking backpack and off I went!
I received my prototype bag and am pretty happy with it. They fit a lot in such a small, compact bag. I really like the quality of the knife and the rescue strobe light is a smart idea. My only complaint is that the prototype didn't have any of the patches or product inserts.
Love the selection of gear. Good combo of food - water - shelter - tools. And I really dig that I can clip to my backpack. There was no way I was going to wear a separate 25 lb. go-bag out on the trail.
I was part of the test group. Just got my Safe Trail prototype. Surprised how much was packed in such a compact bag. Items are well-thought out for lost scenarios – things like food & water rations, a firestarter and rescue strobe light. Things that can actually help save your life.
The Kaito KA700 is super reliable. We used it during a power outage and it worked great — clear weather alerts, strong flashlight, and we could even charge our phones. The hand crank and solar panel make it easy to keep it powered. It’s now a permanent part of our emergency kit. Highly recommend for any household.
