What Contaminants Does a Filtered Water Pitcher Reduces?
Almost all pitcher filters reduce chlorine, but some are also effective at
removing other contaminants. For instance, pitchers that use cartridges containing ion exchange resin
are also able to reduce heavy metals. This resin comes in the for of minuscule beads filled with sodium.
They work by exchanging their sodium ions for the magnesium and calcium ions in your tap water.
