The cable supports up to 96W USB-C Power Delivery, enough to fast-charge phones and tablets and to charge most USB-C laptops. The actual speed depends on your charger and device: to hit the full rate both need to support it, and with a lower-wattage charger the cable simply charges at whatever rate that charger provides.
Yes. It transfers data at up to 480 Mbps, which is USB 2.0 speed. That is fine for syncing and everyday file transfers, but if you move large files often and speed is your priority, a dedicated high-speed data cable will be faster. This one is built primarily for charging and durability.
The two parts that usually fail first are protected. The cable is sleeved in tightly woven 550 paracord instead of thin plastic, and the connector heads are reinforced metal with Pivot-Protect strain relief where the cable meets the plug. That combination resists the fraying and cracking that kills most cables at the connector.
It works with any device that charges over USB-C, including most recent phones, tablets and USB-C laptops. It is USB-C on both ends, so it will not plug into an older USB-A charger or a Lightning device without an adapter. Check that the port on both your charger and your device is USB-C.
In an emergency, yes. The outer sleeve is genuine 550 paracord, so it can be unpicked and used for gear repairs, lashing or the inner strands for smaller tasks. Doing so destroys the cable, so it is a last-resort option, not something to do casually, but it is a useful bonus in a survival context.
