Magnets only grip ferrous steel, so a firearm whose contact surface is aluminum or non-magnetic stainless may not hold as firmly. The trigger guard adds support on top of the magnets.
Yes. The Prime must be installed with the four included countersunk screws; the double-sided tape only holds it in position while you drill, and wall anchors are included. Mount it into a stud or a solid panel. Stinger makes a separate non-drill version with a heavy-duty adhesive pad if you cannot drill.
Not on its own. The trigger guard covers the trigger, but the mount does not lock, so anyone who can reach it can remove the firearm. In a home with children or visitors, use it inside a safe or locked cabinet, and check your state’s safe-storage and child-access laws, which apply whatever mount you use.
