Growing tips

🌱Start indoors 4–6 weeks before last frost for a spring crop, or start in midsummer for a fall harvest. Cauliflower is a cool-season crop — timing to mature in cool weather is the key to tight, white heads.
☀️Plant in full sun with rich, fertile, well-drained soil. Space 18–24" apart. Good soil is essential for cauliflower — amend with compost before planting and side-dress with a balanced fertilizer monthly.
💧Water regularly and consistently — mulch around the base to keep soil cool, retain moisture, and suppress weeds. Drought stress causes loose, ricey curds. Consistent moisture is the #1 factor in head quality.
🥦Harvest when heads are firm, tight, and fully white — before any yellowing or separation begins. The self-blanching leaves do the work for you. Roast with olive oil and parmesan, pickle in brine, or freeze in florets for year-round use.
