It works with 13.56MHz NFC and RFID cards over the ISO14443 standard, including Mifare Classic 1K and 4K and Mifare Ultralight. Some cards use encryption or protections it cannot copy, and low-frequency 125kHz cards are a different standard that this reader does not support.
Both. Over USB it works with Windows, Linux and macOS through libnfc command-line tools and MifareOneTool on Windows. Over Bluetooth or USB OTG it works with Android 8+ using the MTools, MTools BLE and RFID Tools apps, and with iOS through MTools BLE.
The PCR532 is a PN532 module, which is exactly what the ESP32 Bruce needs to add its NFC features, so the two pair directly. Because it speaks the open-source libnfc and PN532 standard, it also works with the wider range of tools built around that chip.
