Military Surplus Freeze Dried Fully Cooked Chicken Nuggets (SC)

These Freeze Dried Fully Cooked Chicken Nuggets are made exclusively with white meat chicken. We found these nuggets to be crunchy and tasty. The flavor is meaty and not overly salty. All cans were sealed in an oxygen/moisture free environment. Each can weighs 24 oz (1.5 lbs) and contains 80 to 90 chicken nuggets.

These Freeze Dried Chicken Nuggets were manufactured in 2025 by a large military defense contractor. Although actual use is always classified on these kinds of bids, our information is that these are purchased for the executive branch use, not for our troops in the field. That usually means these go to underground bunkers for continuity of government use by strategic military leaders, congressional members and sometimes even White House staff or leadership. As always, we opened several cans to try these out before we offer them to you, and these nuggets were amazing: crunchy and very tasty.

Preparation: To prepare the nuggets, fully soak the desired amount of nuggets in warm water for 15 minutes. Then preheat oven to 400 degrees F and heat for 10-15 minutes. If you want to deep fry them, then heat oil to 350 degrees F and fry nuggets for 2-3 minutes.

Once we re-hydrated the nuggets, we baked them in the conventional oven for 15 minutes. However, it is completely up to you how you want to prepare them. Once rehydrated, they look just like regular nuggets that you would get in the store. There was no shrinkage when we cooked them. You can expect 25+ years shelf life as long as the nuggets are sealed in the can - and probably as many as 30 to 40 since there is no water or oxygen in the can to spoil them!!!

Once opened they will last:

• up to 1 year in a Zip Lock bag with refrigeration once opened but not re-hydrated
• up to 60 days in a zip lock bag without refrigeration once opened, but not re-hydrated
• up to 5 days in the fridge once they are re-hydrated.

These are perfect for storing and using for many years! You can have great tasting food in seconds with no mess and no waste - and it doesn't matter if the power goes out!! You can open just one can at a time and in 20 minutes cook one or as many of these as you want however you would cook any other chicken nuggets!!! Perfect for camping, boating, traveling, or at the cabin.
